What is the Earth Day, when is it and what has it achieved?

Within a few years since the first day of the country in 1970, the US Environmental Protection Agency was established, and several environmental laws – such as the Clean Air Act – was established or significantly reinforced.

Recent events included planting hundreds of millions of trees, supporting farmers with sustainable agricultural practices and launching climate literacy projects around the world.

Some observers also cite the importance of Earth Day in suppressing environmental protection issues in the state and international program.

“With many problems with the launch of our environmental challenges on the priority list of society, events such as Earth Day remind us of the long-term expenses of the short term,” said Yvo de Boer, a former UN chief.

In 2016, Earth Day was symbolically selected for the official signing of a significant Paris Climate Agreement, which was agreed at the end of 2015.

It was the first time that the countries of the world collectively agreed to try to limit global warming.
