Wall Street Today: Stocks in the USA mixed in record rises

The US shares were mixed on Friday after reaching record rises in the previous session.

At the opening, the industrial average Dow Jones dropped by 30.9 points, i.e. 0.07%, to 46 077.14. The S&P 500 increased by 3.2 points, i.e. 0.05%, to 6590.66, while the NASDAQ composite increased by 35.6 points, i.e. 0.16%, to 22 078.629.

Bullion

Gold prices increased on Friday as signs of the weakened American labor market strengthened by the hope that the Federal Reserve will provide the first rate reduction next week.

From 09:19 EDT (1319 GMT), Złot Spot increased by 0.4% to 3,649.54 USD per ounce. Gold American Futures for the December delivery increased by 0.4% to USD 3,688.10.

Among other metals, silver spot increased by 1.3% to 42.08 USD per ounce, platinum increased by 1.4% to USD 1,397.61, and Palladium gained 2.2% to USD 1,2,34.70.

Petroleum

Oil prices increased on Friday after the Ukrainian drone’s attack on the Russian port of the port.

Up to 1328 GMT Brent Futures oil increased by $ 1.02, i.e. 1.5%, to USD 67.39 per barrel, and intermediate oil in the US West Texas gained USD 1.08, i.e. 1.7%, up to USD 63.45.
