Trump officials to inspect Gaza Food Distribution as the Dodentol rises – National

Ahmed al-Khatib said someone stole a bag of flower and he broke a tooth in the fight.

In the meantime, Rana Attia, another displaced woman, said that people felt more worthy of receiving SMS messages and telling them where they could collect help instead of randomly hunting for falling packages under the burning heat.

“We don’t want them to help us that way,” she said.

Despite the airdropped packages, the amount that comes in Gaza remains much lower than the 500 to 600 trucks per day that are needed according to aid organizations.

The Israeli defense body that is responsible for coordinating humanitarian aid in Gaza said that 270 trucks from AID on Wednesday entered Gaza and 32 pallets of help in the strip were approved.

Under heavy international pressure, Israel announced a series of measures on weekends to facilitate the access of more international help at Gaza. The international community has lifted criticism of Israel about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza.

International organizations said that Gaza has been on the brink of famine over the past two years, but that recent developments, including a complete blockade for help from 2 1/2 months, mean that “Hunger Nood Sausario is currently playing in Gaza.”

The German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul arrived in Israel on Thursday on a two -day trip that will also bring him to the West Bank occupied by Israel.

Germany, traditionally an avid ally of Israel, has increasingly been critical of Israel’s actions in Gaza. It has insisted that Israel should do more to increase the auxiliary resources and insist on a cease -the fire.

Berlin has not become a member of Major Allies France, Great -Britain and Canada by saying that it will recognize a Palestinian state in September. But in a statement prior to his departure on Thursday, Wadephul underlined the position of Germany that a two -state solution is “the only way” to guarantee a future in peace and safety for people on both sides.

“For Germany, the recognition of a Palestinian state is earlier at the end of the process. But such a process must start now. Germany will not go from this goal,” said Wadephul.

Witkoff, the special envoy of Trump, arrived in Israel on Thursday afternoon and was expected to talk to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the humanitarian situation and a possible stopping -the fire, according to an officer who spoke about the state of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

This is the first meeting between Witkoff and Netanyahu, because both Israel and the US called their negotiating teams at home from Qatar a week ago. Witkoff said at the time that Hamas “shows a lack of desire” to reach a truce.

“The fastest way to end the humanitarian crises in Gaza is that Hamas surrendered and releases the hostages !!!” Trump wrote on Thursday morning on his social social platform.

Trump sent Witkoff to the region “in an attempt to save lives and to end this crisis,” said the White House, Karoline Leavitt’s press secretary, and called the president “a humanitarian with a big heart”.

The war started when Hamas attacked South Israel on October 7, 2023, kidding around 1200 people and 251 others kidnapped.
