Lex+Otis Studios develops an animated feature film based on the 1957 scientific and fiction novel Citizen of Galaxy Robert A. Heinline. The film is directed by the veteran animator Jay Oliva, with a script written by a hatch Lieberman.
The movie is an ex-adventure and an arrival story focused on a pediatric boy named Torby, who is sold in slavery. His life changes after meeting with a mysterious beggar, installing him on a journey that could influence the fate of the galaxy.
It will be one of the few stories Heinline, which was not adapted for cinema or television. Currently, production is at the stage of visual development, with a potential release window in early 2027. The project is a moment of “filled circle” for director Jay Oliva, who started his career GRAVIES: Star Chronicle troopswhich was also based on the novel Heinlein.
