Terence Crawford victory against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez viewed by more than 41 million

The victory of Terence Crawford against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez to become the undisputed super-mid-weight champion, attracted an estimated total of 41.4 million viewers, says Netflix.

However, it was far below the estimated 125 million that YouTuber boxer Jake Paul’s fight against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in November 2024 watched the streaming platform.

Because that was not for a title, Netflix Crawford-Canelo described as the “most viewed men’s championship Boxing match this century”.

The victory of Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano in their second fight, which was on the undercard of the Tyson-Paul card, an estimated 74 million live viewers worldwide and 47 million viewers in the US.

Crawford-Canelo attracted 36.6 million on the day of the fight, while the rest saw it within one day after the game.

In terms of simultaneous flows, Netflix said that the fight had a peak of 24 million in contrast to the Tyson Paul Peak of 65 million.

Crawford defeated Canelo on points to claim the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and IBF Super-Mid-Midleight titles when he became the first male hunter in modern times that held undamaged titles in three weight departments.
