Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is finally returning for Season 6 of the animated series, and Disney has released the first trailer showing what to expect from these new episodes in the first trailer. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir the fifth season of the animated series ended a couple of years ago, so fans have been eagerly waiting for the series to return. However, things are a little different this time around as things have changed significantly behind the scenes of this new season and beyond as the series heads into the future.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 6 will make its long-awaited debut on Disney Channel and Disney XD in the United States Saturday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. ET with international releases impressive for the rest of the year. This will be the first season of the series to be animated using all-new technology, and will feature new changes for returning characters as well as some new superhero identities for the rest of the cast. What will Miraculous season 6 be about?

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Seasons 6 and 7 are produced in association with Disney Branded TelevisionBrazil’s Globosat, Italy’s KidsMe and France’s TF1. Season 6 premieres later this month, and Season 7 is currently slated for release sometime in 2026, but at the time of this post, a specific release date has yet to be confirmed. As for what fans can expect to see in the show’s next season, Disney teases the story Miraculous Season 6 as such:

“Marinette and Adrien have never been that close, but they still keep secrets from each other. Meanwhile, Ladybug and Cat Noir must face a mysterious and elusive new enemy out to steal their Miracle and wreak havoc on Paris. Together with their classmates and the newly created team of superheroes, our heroes have to experience a school year full of emotions and revelations. But the story for the new season isn’t the only new thing heading into the next wave of episodes of the long-running series.

Miraculous is celebrating its 10th anniversary

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir will kick off the animated franchise’s 10th anniversary celebration with the Season 6 premiere later this month. This is the first season of the series to be animated using the Unreal Engine, and as such it leads to a major design change for many of the characters. Maria Doolan, head of content partnerships and distribution at Miraculous Corp., teased just how big of a deal this new season is: “The launch of season six coincides with the 10^thousand anniversary of Miraculous brand and promises an exciting new chapter in the franchise.”

Continuing, “This season features characters that have grown and evolved with updated visuals that reflect their development, and a bold new storyline that combines themes of courage and self-belief that continue to resonate with fans of all ages.” Those behind the scenes and fans eager to see new episodes knew this was going to be a big deal, and the first trailer for the animated series helps highlight why as it teases more and more action than we’ve seen in previous seasons.
