Earth Planning Date: Wednesday, April 9 2025
Our plan from the plan on Monday was mostly successful, putting us ~ 22 meters down the “road” from the expected 30 meters. The control command stopped the ride a little shorter when we tried to get involved in the place, but instead turned into a rock, which also resulted in our position to become too unstable for ARM activities. Okay! APXS data show that the recent terrain in the composition is quite similar, so the team does not complain about trying to try again after the second drive. In addition, holding our hand in accordance with the fact that we should give us a little more power to play in the next solos (in this fight of this March winter).
Recently, my job at Mastcam was to ensure that our scientific picture is as possible with the necessary Rover activities as possible. This strategy helps to save a rover of wakefulness, aka energy consumption. Today we have done a pretty good job with that, just increasing the total awake time for ~ 2 minutes even though we planned 52 pictures! Our shooting today included the mosaic of the “devil’s neck”, including some nodular background and the far “Torote Bowl”, a mosaic of a close venous network called “Moonstone Beach” and several sand trolleys surrounding the background blocks we see here.
Chemcam plans Raster Libs on a vertical vein in our workspace called “Jackrabbbit Flat” and a remote RMI Mosaic “Condor Peak” (Butte in the North, We Losing Looks). Our facility will happen at 1400 hours on the first salt, we hope it will successfully land us at 53 meters further into this new valley on the way to the buildings within the West frame! Post-pogon, let’s include the “post-traverse autonom observation”, aka potato-a single activity falls for soil analysis on the navigation map of our new terrain built with a rover. Plus, we’ll say a lot of potatoes.
