Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 drops a first look at the next arc with a new trailer and poster

The border of Shangri-La Season 2 kicks off an all-new arc with its final episodes, and fans got their first look at what to expect from the Abyss City arc with a new trailer and poster. The border of Shangri-La now in full swing with a second season of anime shows for the winter of 2025, and An amazing rematch against Lycagon the Nightslayer was recently completed. Although Sunraku didn’t expect it, he ended up doing much better against the Colossi than he did the first time. But now it’s time to go see off the next of the Colossi.

Rematch with Lycagon was definitely a big deal for The border of Shangri-La, but this was far from what Sunraku originally set out to do. With Lycagon successfully defeated for now, Sunraku can now go back and focus on what he was trying to do in the first place, follow the direction of where to find the next Colossus, Ktarnidd of the Abyss. What’s in store for Shangri-La Frontier Season 2?

As teased at the end of the last episode, The border of Shangri-La The next arc of Season 2 is called “High Sky, Raging Ocean, Race to the City of the Abyss.” According to the new trailer and poster, Sunraku is set to meet a whole new cast of characters now that he’s come to Fifticia. You need to meet with Jyrgy and Tsvilya (whom they first met during his time in the Valley of the Nephilim) in their allotted time, Sunrak must follow their lead to where Qtarnid appears to be. But this also means that this seemingly small mission will have many complications.

Sunraku had already had success against two Colossus, and now he was about to face a third. The anime has been teasing all sorts of potential new characters with this arc, which saw the second season return for a new reveal earlier this winter, so now it remains to be seen whether they’ll be friends or foes. All the while, Sunrak still needs to prepare for this big battle. The only question is whether we’ll see that drop this season.

The border of Shangri-La might not be one of the the biggest return to anime graphics for winter 2025 compared to other releases, but it’s definitely a hidden gem that you need to keep an eye out for. While his weekly entries may not seem like much, since it’s really just a story about a guy playing a game with powerful enemies, the joy of watching Sunraku figure out how enemies work so he can use them makes for a very satisfying watch.

The border of Shangri-La it’s also best when it’s packed, so now is the perfect time to catch up on everything that’s happened so far before the new season fully begins its next arc.
