See Bad Bunny Busk with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show

Bad bunny sells the New York City busker fantasy. While it appears on The tonight show Monday night, the Puerto Rican reggaeton star and emcee Jimmy Fallon surprised some subway riders with an impromptu performance – all in disguise.

Dressed in 1970s attire and exuding a touch of hippie energy, the TV host-musician pair performed a rendition of Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way.” The celebrities then shed their wigs, sunglasses and fake mustaches to perform “NuevaYol” and “DTMF” from Bad Bunny’s new album. I should have taken more pictures which one Rolling stone called an ‘Instant Classic’. (Fallon joined Bad Bunny’s band and played tambourine.)

“Welcome to New York City, I’m Jimmy Fallon,” Fallon shouted. “This is Bad Bunny, he has a new record out.”

Bad Bunny had a fun trip to New York City. He was spotted partying with New York congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nydia Velazquez during a visit to Toñitas, where he ‘name dropped’ on ‘NuevaYol.”

The new performance comes hours later Rolling stone published an interview with the music star about his latest album, dedicated to the deep roots of Puerto Rican culture.

“It’s funny because it’s an album completely dedicated to Puerto Rico, but it starts in New York,” Bad Bunny recently shared Rolling stone. “That’s kind of how the album started: back in the day, when a Puerto Rican went to the US, they would say, ‘Me voy pa’ Nueva York!’ So New York used to be shorthand for “I went off island.”

The performance is part of Bad Bunny’s co-hosting gig with Fallon during the late night show Monday. He also announced one Residency with 21 shows in Puerto Rico to celebrate the album.
