Pokémon Go Solosis Community Day Guide

Pokémon Go has Solo Community Day event enabled Sunday, October 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m in your local time.

As expected for a Community Day event, Solosis will appear in huge numbers with a good chance of looking shiny. There are also some other bonuses and benefits which we have listed below.

How to catch shiny Solosis?

According to old research conducted on the now defunct website The Silph Road (via Return machine), Shiny rates in Community Days are around 1 in 24, which means that if you play for the entire three hours, you should find quite a few shiny Pokémon.

If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, you can shoot Incense and then quickly tap each Solos to see if they’re shiny, running away from any that aren’t shiny. It’s worth noting that any solos you’ve already clicked on will be facing where your player is standing, so this should help identify which ones you may have already checked.

If you evolve Duosion down Reuniclus On October 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, he will learn fast movement Spell.

If you miss its evolution during this period, you’ll likely be able to evolve it during the Community Day weekend event in December to earn Charm. If you don’t want to wait, you can use TM Elite to make a move.

The following bonuses will be active during Solosis Community Day:

• Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon

• Double XP for catching Pokémon – which stacks with XP Celebration event. XP bonuses

• Double candy for catching Pokémon

• Double chance for Trainers at level 31+ to earn XL Candy for catching Pokémon

• The incense lasts three hours

• Bait modules last one hour

• Solos special photobombs while taking photos

• One additional special transaction

• Stardust cost halved when trading

That said, you should definitely fire up the Stardust, Lucky Egg, and Incense and try to get the powerful Solosis.

If you can Mega evolution Alakazam, Slowbro, Gardevoir, Medicham, Metagross, Latios, Latias, Rayquaza or Gallade, you will receive additional Solosis candies for each catch.

Please remember that this is an event there is no “Community Day Follow-up” time study. Instead, a new advantage is available: Solo will appear frequently in bait modules from 14:00 to 21:00 there will be Solosis brought by baits more likely to be shiny and may have a special background.
