Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are a shot behind leader Sepp Stepp Stepp, who enters the last round of Sunday of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California.
The couple, who were teammates for Ireland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, both broke seven-under-par rounds of 65 to reach 15 below.
“Let’s hope one of us is doing the company,” said Lowry, from County Offaly in the Republic of Ireland.
The 37-year-old McIlroy of Northern Ireland, 35, seemed to be the leaders of the clubhouse on their way to the last day.
But the sleek of Austria, who led the tournament after two rounds, birds are last two holes to card a semi-under-par 70 and clearly move.
The Justin Rose of England is two shots behind 14 under, next to Tom Kim and Cam Davis, after a round of 68.
