NBA Play-in Tournament: Herro scores 38 as the season of Heat End Bulls again | NBA

Tyler Herro and the heat let it go from the start. Miami could catapult another performance in the play -offs.

Herro scored 38 points and the heat dominated the Chicago Bulls 109-90 on Wednesday evening to continue in the play-in tournament.

Herro scored 23 points when Miami took a 71-47 resting party and the heat hit the bulls from the play-in for the third year in a row. They play in Atlanta on Friday for a chance to meet the top-ranking Cleveland in the first round of the play-offs of the Eastern Conference. The Hawks lost from Orlando on Tuesday.

“We are only halfway,” said coach Erik Spoelstra. “We did not have the luxury of having one game and then you are automatically inside. Guys feel great about this victory and are really committed to it. This is not something that could just happen at night. I feel that a few good things have happened in recent weeks.”

Coming at this point has not been easy for the heat. There was the impasse with Jimmy Butler who ended with a Trade Deadline Deal for Golden State in February, and a 10-game losing series in March. Miami then won eight of the 12 to close the regular season and finished 10th in the east at 37-45.

Against Chicago, Herro made his first eight shots and was 13 of 19 in the game.

Andrew Wiggins had 20 points and nine rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Davion Mitchell walked in with 15 points and nine assists. The heat had 10 steals and seven blocks, and it is all added to increase a three-game sweep in the regular season.

Josh Giddey had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago. Coby White scored 17, although he shot 5 of 20. Nikola Vucevic ended with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

“We didn’t really have a game discipline,” said White. “We beat them in the regular season. We thought that if we just do what we do normal, we will be good. But it is clear that they have boys who have been to the final. They have boys who know what is needed. They have a head coach who came in one of the best head coaches in the competition. They came in and they were the better team tonight.”

The Bulls arrived in the fourth quarter within 13, only to close the rest of the road and to miss the play -offs for the third year in a row.

“Many of us made large buckets at the right time,” said Adebayo.

Herro set the tone and made all eight shots when the heat revealed the game in the first half. He was hardly a one -man show, in which Wiggins 12 scored in half and Adebayo adds 11 points and seven rebounds.
