“Making films is my most important focus more than acting, to be honest,” said Le Bon during a sit-down interview in Toronto Thursday.
Le Bon recently returned from the Cannes Film Festival, where she held meetings in search of a financing partner for her second-year function and still titllless Montreal-Shot drama exploring themes of loss.
“It’s autobiographique,” says the bilingual actor, reluctant to reveal too much.
“It is a very, very personal film and I think the goal is to try to make a very light film about sorrow. It is a challenge, but that is what I strive for.”
The Montreal-based Le Bon was in the city for Bell Media’s 2025-26 programming showcase, where Etalk-Gastheren interviewed her during a splash-like media buyers about the last season of The White LotusIt streams on craving.
In Mike White’s Eat-The-Rich Anthology Series she plays Chloe, a socially smart French-Canadian expat who lives in Thailand with her much older boyfriend, and the most important antagonist of the series, Greg, who is now going ‘Gary’. Le Bon says she was ready to take an interruption of acting when they White lotus role. Although Chloe’s relationship with Greg may seem transactional on the surface, Le Bon argues that the two share a deeper ‘understanding’ of each other.
“I think she likes in this relationship, she thinks she has found a way to be free … Just by spending a lot of money and partying and having sex with whom she wants,” says Le Bon.
“I think they will find an agreement towards the end of the season where it is clear that her intention is and maybe he can participate and enjoy it.”
If that setup sounds special, Le Bon says that that is exactly that interests her.
“There must be a unique aspect in part that really inspires me to move my ass and be an actress again,” she says.
