Over the next ten years, open all over England will be opened all over England to reduce the departments of accidents and emergencies (A&E), as the NHS has confirmed.
Ten Hospital Trusts have piloted new evaluation centers to deal with people with a psychological crisis.
The aim is to bring these patients into a quiet area in a quiet environment and to avoid long waiting in A&E.
NHS England said the new units would reduce the overcrowding in hospitals and reduce the pressure on emergency services, including the police.
Andy Bell, the CEO of the Center for Mental Health, an independent charity organization, but said that every new provision had to be financed properly.
The program is expected to be expanded nationally to “dozens of locations” as part of its 10-year-old NHS plan.
These clinics are open to both walk -in patients as well as for the patients transferred by GPS and the police, with specialists being present to treat people in acute intellectual stress.
Sir Jim Mackey, head of NHS England, praised the “pioneering work new supply model” with the newspaper Times.where people can “receive the right support in the right attitude”.
“In addition to the pressure on our busy A&S, the evaluation centers for mental health crises can accelerate access to adequate care and offer people the help they need much earlier so that they can stay out of the hospital.”
NHS England said that some of the centers will be new, self -contained units, while others will be included in existing A&S.
Mr. Bell told the BBC breakfast that he was skeptical about the potential effectiveness of the program because it was not tested.
He said it was impossible to separate physical and psychological health problems so easily and demand that separate facilities are “carefully” set up.
“We have to rob the model robust in every phase before we even think about equipping it nationally,” added Bell.
He called for better financing of NHS services for mental health and found that the proportion of health expenditure for the treatment of mental health had decreased last year and should do so again.
A recently carried out study on emergency care in England showed that the number of people who were waiting for 12 hours or more in A&E after the decision to admit a station was the highest since the beginning of the modern records. In January or 11% of the emergency rooms of 60,000.
The government also announced the expansion of a system in the past month to help the GPS to provide care and advice for patients without it joining the waiting lists of the Long NHS Hospital in England.
Baroness Merron, the Minister of Minister of Psychological Health, said: “Too often people who have crisis for mental health do not receive the support or care they deserve, and it is therefore important that we continue to offer a number of services like this.”
She said the government “” converted “services – with £ 26 million into new crisis centers, more employees, more talking therapies and waiting lists.
“In addition, through our proposed reforms on the law on mental health, we will ensure that people with the most serious mental illnesses become better personalized.”
Conservative MP Luke Evans, the Shadow Minister of Health and Social Supply, said that he had “welcomed” the plans, but made concerns about the cuts of the psychological editions from the total budget of the NHS.
He said the plans had “forced charity organizations and local authorities to fight their resources from most” to distract their resources.
“This government must now ensure that these units are properly financed so that those who struggle with their mental health the most get the targeted and compassionate care they need.”
Helen Morgan MP, the spokesman for the health and social welfare of the Liberal Democrats, said: “The government should also restore the scrapped NHS goals for mental health so that people can receive the help they need before reaching the fracture.”
