Manchester United and Arsenal confirm Champions League places
As a result of Manchester United’s draw with Manchester City, United and Arsenal have both secured a place in next season’s Champions League.
City miss out.
Full-time: Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City
It ends in a draw at Old Trafford and that confirms Manchester United’s place in the Champions League next season!
Full-time: Liverpool 0-2 Everton
Everton earn the Merseyside bragging rights at Anfield!
Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City: Keating makes her way up to the United box for a corner, but she is caught out and Clinton looks to break. The goalkeeper is forced to bring her down and receives a booking as a result. Chaos at Old Trafford!
Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City: Five minutes have been added on at Old Trafford. Will we see a late winner?
Liverpool 0-2 Everton: Smith attempts to curl a shot into the top-left corner from the edge of the box but her effort flies inches wide.
Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City: City have made two changes with Casparij making way for Aoba Fujino and Laura Blindkilde Brown on for Coombs.
Liverpool 0-2 Everton: Seven minutes have been added on at Anfield.
Liverpool 0-2 Everton: With just two minutes of normal time left to play, Bonner blasts her headed effort wide following a corner!
Just a few moments later, Rikke Madsen – who was introduced as a substitute a few minutes ago – is booked for a challenge on Júlia Bartel, also brought off the bench.
RED CARD (Sara Holmgaard, 82)
Holmgaard is shown a second yellow card for a challenge on Smith. Everton are down to 10 players. This could make things a bit more interesting heading into the final minutes…
Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City: Another change for United and this is most likely a tactical one following that red card. Dominique Janssen is on to replace Toone.
Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City: Just to clarify, Mannion was sent off after receiving her second yellow card. A huge blow for the hosts.
RED CARD (Aoife Mannion, 69)
Just moments after the equaliser, Mannion is sent off for a challenge on Kerolin! United are down to 10 players – can they see this game out?
GOAL! Manchester United 2-2 Manchester City (Melvine Malard, 68)
Super-sub Malard with the all-important equaliser!
A long ball is launched forward by Le Tissier and headed down to Mannion by Malard. The full-back crosses it back inside to Terland, who heads it short to Malard and the winger is able to convert her shot.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City: Back to Old Trafford now and a few changes have been made. For United, Melvine Malard has replaced Bizet. And for City, Jill Roord is on for Hemp.
Liverpool 0-2 Everton: Brosnan makes a great save to deny Holland!
Liverpool 0-2 Everton: Just before that goal, Liverpool made a change with Cornelia Kapocs replacing Sophie Román Haug.
GOAL! Liverpool 0-2 Everton (Karen Holmgaard, 70)
Against the run of play, Everton have extended their lead!
The ball is played out to Payne on the left, who sends a low cross into the box. Liverpool fail to make the clearance and Holmgaard arrives at the back post to tap in.
Liverpool 0-1 Everton: Over at Anfield, Everton have made their first change with Gago making way for Toni Payne.
The hosts have had more shots and more shots on target than their local rivals, but still find themselves trailing.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City: The hosts have made one change since the break, with Anna Sandberg replacing George.

Liverpool 0-1 Everton: Great chance for Liverpool as Höbinger’s low shot from around 10 yards out is saved by Brosnan.
Both matches are now back under way!
Half-time: Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City
City have the advantage at the break. What a match this has been so far!
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City: Mannion is now booked with just one minute of the half left to play.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City: Prior is booked for delaying the restart following a United free kick.
Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City: Four minutes of added time remaining…
Half-time: Liverpool 0-1 Everton
Everton have the lead at the break! Liverpool had a few chances to get back into the match but couldn’t make the most of them.
Liverpool 0-1 Everton: Meanwhile at Anfield, Everton still have that one-goal advantage over Liverpool.
GOAL! Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City (Grace Clinton, 45)
What a response from United! The ball is played out to Mannion on the right, who delivers a perfect cross into the box. Clinton runs onto it before heading past Keating and into the net!
What a game we have here!
GOAL! Manchester United 0-2 Manchester City (Rebecca Knaak, 42)
City make it two within four minutes!
Hasegawa fires a corner into the box and Knaak makes a run in from the back post before directing a powerful header past Tullis-Joyce!
GOAL! Manchester United 0-1 Manchester City (Laia Aleixandri, 38)
Advantage City!
Keating plays a long ball up to Kerolin, who brings it down before easily making her way past Turner. She plays it inside to Coombs, who passes across to Hemp on the left. The winger plays the ball back inside to Aleixandri on the edge of the box and the defender curls her shot into the bottom-right corner!
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: Toone goes for an audacious volley from the edge of the box but her effort flies way over the bar.
Liverpool 0-1 Everton: Román Haug goes for goal from just inside the box but the shot does not have enough conviction on it and fails to challenge Brosnan.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: United are finally able to make the substitution and Riviere makes way for Aoife Mannion. The Canadian full-back looks devastated as she limps down the tunnel.
Liverpool 0-1 Everton: Over at Anfield, both teams have had some good chances. Liverpool are pushing to get an equaliser before half-time – they have challenged Brosnan a fair few times so far.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: It looks like Riviere will have to come off. The full-back looks very uncomfortable out on the pitch but her replacement, Aoife Mannion, does not seem to be ready to come on just yet.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: There’s some concern for United now as Riviere is down following what appeared to be quite a nasty twist to the left ankle. The full-back suffered the knock while going up for a header against Hemp.
She starts to slowly make her way over to the sidelines, but I’m not sure if she’ll be able to continue.
Aside from the early goal in the Merseyside Derby, most of the action has come from Old Trafford so far. We’ve just passed the 20-minute mark in both games.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: Following the injury to Ouahabi, it appears that Greenwood has moved out to left-back with Knaak playing centrally.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: Huge chance for City now as Kerolin goes for goal from close range and forces a strong save from Tullis-Joyce. Brilliant from the keeper!
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: Terland puts the ball in the net for United – but it won’t count! A deep cross is played into the box and the striker directs a looping header above Keating and into the top-right corner. However, the referee deemed there to be a push from the striker on Aleixandri and City have a free kick instead.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: Manchester City are forced into an early change due to an injury to Ouahabi. The defender is replaced by Rebecca Knaak.
GOAL! Liverpool 0-1 Everton (Katja Snoeijs, 7)
Everton have an early lead thanks to Snoeijs! The forward plays a one-two with Gago on the left before firing her shot past Laws from the edge of the box. What a start from the visitors!
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: There’s some concern for City now as Ouahabi looks in some discomfort following a collision with Riviere.
Liverpool 0-0 Everton: Chance for Liverpool as a free kick is sent into the box. Bonner looks to head the ball towards goal but her effort flies wide.
Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City: United start piling the pressure on City early as they make their way into the opposition box. Keating comes off her line to make a good save and eventually nothing comes of the attack.
Kick-off: Liverpool v Everton
And we’re under way now at Anfield!
Kick-off: Manchester United v Manchester City
United kick off proceedings at Old Trafford!
The countdown to kick-off is on! The action at both Anfield and Old Trafford gets underway in just under five minutes!
In case you somehow missed it, Chelsea secured the WSL title on Wednesday by defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Leigh Sports Village. Sonia Bompastor and Co were handed a huge boost earlier in the evening when Arsenal suffered a shock 5-2 loss at the hands of Aston Villa. The Blues then needed just a point from their meeting with United but won the match thanks to a late Lucy Bronze header.
With relegation also confirmed for Crystal Palace, the only thing up for grabs now for some teams is a place in the Champions League. A win for Manchester United and Arsenal this bank holiday weekend will see both teams qualify for the competition.
It’s a straight shootout between Birmingham City and London City Lionesses on the final day of the Women’s Championship season this afternoon. The hosts need a win to secure the title and promotion, while London City just need to avoid defeat.
It will also be the first Women’s Championship match ever broadcast on Sky Sports. Kick-off for that one is at 2:15pm GMT.
Today’s WSL fixtures
In a huge boost for Manchester City, Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp are both back in the starting line-up. It is the first time either player has been named in the starting XI this year. They both came off the bench for a substitute appearance against Leicester City last weekend.
