With the first season Love live! Super Star !!Sunrise and Bandai Namco took a tested franchise formula and refreshed it, reduce the cast, and created a mature history, managed by a character. Now, with this continuation, they have a call to build on established topics, drive it to new heights and allow Liella! Finally succeed that they deserve. Can they musculate and put it on it? Let’s dig and find out!
Season 2 history largely takes us over three separate arcs that will be felt by familiar ancient fans: introduction of new members, massacre in Love Live! Competition and decision on the future of the group. They were resolved in another franchise series Super Star !! makes a lot to take them in a new direction.
Initially, attention is focused on new additions to the acting role as Lella! Jump in the new school year, trying to hunt new members. According to fans of the series, 9 is a magical number, and the group itself wants to bring more people to not only diversify their votes, but also adjust the group for the future.
There are problems and finding a new direction here, as the group seems too high to make the new members join, but in this first half there is a lot where she simply enjoys the franchise and comedy of the franchise when he rolls in a new girl and try to pull out what makes it forced their ticks. I like how we see it from the beginning, when we look at the eyes of one of the new girls, Kinako Sakucoco, instead of existing members.
Kinako is a fun, rural girl from a stick in Hokkaido, so bypass Tokyo is a miracle for her, and a mass challenge, and she will soon get lost! Of course, she somehow magically finds at the door to school and stumbles at one of Liella’s practical lessons! The way it is played is a bit difficult to believe, but we will leave it so far, because it is at least an affordable way to present newcomers to the show without having too much time with the exposure.
Through Kinako, we quickly learn about this Liel! – This is a super talented group that is aimed at grandeur, and their grueling learning deposits any from the first years from joining. However, as always, all our key characters are already in place, and soon they start to get into the orbit of the group.
For the most part, I think that new characters are great additions and bring much latitude to the group, giving them more opportunities than they would only have the original five. Kinaco takes the franchise back to Hokkaido (which previously touched Saint Snou in Sunlight !!), while you have May and Guys, which are a fantastic pair of botanists who not only show that someone can be a idol but also get a few “squeezes!” Moments, thanks to their very close friendship. Then there is a national that is the creator of the content that fights success.
They adhere to some original archetypes, which are still in some way, but I think that each character has their whims to make them stand out. While Kinako ends the most time on the screen, I found that I reached for May, as I liked this obsessive side of the kumir fan, which she sits under a harsh appearance.
For those who liked the original cast, unfortunately, less time spent with them focus on new girls. However, I think there are boiling enough in the background that everyone at least touch. Ren receives his own autonomous episode, Keke and Suir find themselves in the fight, provided that he is going back to Shanghai, while Chisato must be activated as the club president and support other members.
There is also another new character that I have not said yet who is one of the main driving forces of this season and its main theme – Wien Margarete. This bold, abrasive and over-confident secondary schoolboy is a slightly mystery at first, but thanks to her stunning musical performances, she quickly registered as an anterior runner in competitions, which, in her opinion, is a waste of her time and talent.
Its inclusion solves one of the striking issues in the first season, which is a lack of competition in a music competition, like Lella! And the solar passion did not really fight each other on the screen. Here, in fact, St. -sou Liella is a real rival with, perhaps, the best music that comes out of nowhere to blow everyone. Its values can be incorrectly placed, but you cannot ignore her pure musical talent, while the war of words between her and the canon is great to see and really raises tension.
Wien is more important than just her music and still doesn’t work.
It is not so nuanced or as dark as some other music shows recently but in volume Love live! It works well, unfolding the heated rivalry into something a little deeper. It makes Peter to the end when we make an inevitable conclusion, but honestly, I was satisfied with this. The show suits the dreams and desires of each character forward and makes individually decisive moments truly emotional. So, although it begins as a sufficiently dull series, it really shows you your heart, and it is, to be honest, it is very similar to the first season that I think they are on an equal footing.
This also applies to visual images, as I think, Sunrise created something that actually matches the first season, which is not a bad thing, as it was one of the best records in the franchise. Season 2 has a few very beautiful scenes that actually draw you into the show, while it also shows a good direction for impressive moments, knowing when to make a dramatic pause or an even more dramatic cut. The scenes in the hokkaido flower field and the performances of the Vienna are some distinguished for me, but certainly more than I have time to remember here!
Music also continues to impress, though I felt that this season there are fewer defining tracks, at least nothing as great as “Unfixed literature“Or”Starlight prologue”. And yet we get something very other than wien in ”Butterfly wing“AND”Edelstein”While on Liel! There are a few interesting and attractive tracks on the side like -s’Vitamin summer!“AND”Day accidental, accidental!”. Although all the performances are quite stunning! Meanwhile, Yosiaci Fujisava returns as a composer to evaluate the series, complimenting existing topics with a variety of fun, soft and dramatic works that emphasize the screen action.
The Japanese voice also remains great to listen and never exceeds. Well, I think the phrase of the susta (“Oninatsu!”) May be a little screaming, but that’s the whole thing! In any case, there are some great casting options for new members of the acting role, which were relatively unknown in the field at the time. I may have illuminated Yuin, who does a wonderful job when he was experiencing a high cold cold, and had a wonderful singing voice, and a noza Suzukhara, who makes a good job, giving Kinako a clear tand.
Love live! Super Star !! Season 2 It comes to us through Anime Limited, available both in collecting and standard publications. The collector’s publication is only made with a small booklet as an additional booklet, but I prefer the collector’s artistic box over the clumsy -fringed art of the standard edition.
On the discs you will find all 12 episodes in Japanese with English subtitles. There are several subtitle errors and some inconvenient placement against the screen text, but this time we get the full songs of the subtitles. Extras include trailers and advertising videos for the series, and oddly enough, only the second half Liella’s song Animated song segments. It has 12 of them (one for each episode), but in the first half is absent in the set. Unfortunately, none of the additional applications are subtitled.
In general, Love live! Super Star !! Season 2 is a strong and consistent recording in the franchise, which offers reliable monitoring of the first season, ironing of nails, and gives us not only exciting and useful musical competition, but also a series that is full of heartbeat of the drama character and dull approaching. We end on the rock, so the story of Liella is not quite complete, but it is difficult to understand how far they can come from here.
