Kevin Spacey is facing three more sexual assault charges in London’s court – National

Three people have sued the 66-year-old actor in civil cases at London’s High Court relating to his time as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre. BBC News reports.

The three men claim that the House of cards an actor attacked them between 2000 and 2013. At a hearing on Wednesday, a judge set a tentative trial date of Oct. 12, 2026, but it remains undecided whether the charges will be heard in a single trial or in three consecutive trials.

Spacey has denied all allegations of wrongdoing. According to the BBC, he has formally rejected two of the claims and has yet to file a defense in court in the third.

The American beauty actor, who was not present at Wednesday’s hearing, was acquitted of criminal sex charges in 2023claimed by four men after a trial in London.

That earlier case involved two of the plaintiffs in the new civil suit.

One man, known as LNP, claims Spacey “intentionally assaulted him 12 times” between 2000 and 2005, according to court documents seen by the BBC.

Another claimant, known as GHI, says he met Spacey through a workshop at London’s Old Vic theater and claims he has “suffered psychological harm and financial loss” as a result of an alleged attack he claims took place in 2008. GHI originally charged Spacey in 2022, but his case was dropped when Spacey faced criminal charges.

One of the claimants, actor Ruari Cannon – who was not involved in the 2023 case – is also suing the Old Vic theatre.

Cannon, who has waived his right to anonymity, claims Spacey groped him at a party after a press night for Tennessee Williams’ play, Sweet Bird of Youth, in 2013.

Elizabeth-Anne Gumbel, the lawyer representing the three men, is proposing that the cases should be heard in one trial to avoid the men and Spacey having to take evidence more than once.

Earlier this month, Spacey made headlines after the revelation in an interview with De Telegraaf that his legal troubles have effectively left him ‘homeless’.

“The costs have been astronomical over the last seven years,” Spacey said. “Very little came in and everything went out.”

“You’ll get through it. In strange ways I feel like I’m back where I first started, which is to say, I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again,” he continued.

“I live in hotels, I live in Airbnbs, I go where the work is. I literally don’t have a home, that’s what I’m trying to explain,” he added.

After the interview was published, Spacey went to Instagram to address the ‘rumors’ surrounding his current living situation.

On Sunday, Spacey said he “don’t usually make it my job to correct the media.”

“If I did, I wouldn’t have time for much else. In light of recent articles claiming I’m homeless, I feel the need to respond,” he continued. “Not to the press, but to the thousands of people who have contacted me in recent days, offered me a place to stay or who have just asked if I am okay.”

“And to all of you, let me say that I am truly touched by your generosity, period,” he said. “But I feel like it would be unfair of me to make you believe that I am indeed homeless in the colloquial sense of the word.”

Spacey clarified that while “there are a lot of people who are indeed living on the streets or in their cars or in terrible financial situations,” he is not one of them.

“And my heart goes out to them,” he added. “But it’s clear from the article itself that I’m not one of them, and I wasn’t trying to say that.”
