One thing that is not unwritten? The way Kristin found about her Ages at the age of 13 with ex-boyfriend Mark Estes.

“I date with a 24-year-old is not something I was looking for,” The hills Said Alum during an episode of March 2024 of her podcast Let’s be honest. “It is not something that I once thought it would ever happen. If you listen to the podcast, you know that I thought 30-year-olds were too young for me.”

And while Kristin said she understands what ‘it looks like the outside world’, she insisted that Mark is ‘not a typical 24-year-old’ and that there is more for a person than his year of birth.

“I really think age is just a number,” she continued. “It is what you have experienced in your life, how you grew up. There are just so many factors that go to adulthood than age.”

But months later, Kristin shared that she did with Mark.

“I just know in the long term that he should experience life,” she said in an October episode of her podcast. “He is young. He is. I started to feel the age a bit only with life experience. I look back when I was 24 and how much life for me then happened. Those are crucial years. These are forming years. This is when you find yourself and he must be able to do that.”

Yet she called their romance ‘the best relationship’ of her life and expressed hope that Mark will realize that their split was the best.

“I know he will look back one day and he will understand,” she added, “and I actually think he will thank me one day.”
