Israel says it has affected the Evin Prison and Fordo Access routes from Tehran

Israel has beaten the notorious Evin prison of Tehran and damaged parts of the facility, which has many political prisoners, says Iran’s judiciary.

The Mizan news agency of the judiciary reported that the situation was “under control” after the attack, of which it had violated international law. TV images of the state showed first -responders who wore a victim on a stretcher and looking for survivors under a flattened building.

The Minister of Defense of Israel said that the “regime objectives and agencies of repression of the government” became in Tehran, including Evin.

The French Foreign Minister said that the strike in prison was “unacceptable” because it endangered the lives of two of his citizens there.

The Israeli army also said on Monday that the access routes had hit the Fordo Uranium Enrichment Plant, south of the capital. It came a day after the American plane dropped “bunker-busting” bombs on the underground facility.

Iranian ballistic missiles now found different locations in Israel, including an industrial area in the coastal city of Ashdod, close to a power plant.

Ten days ago, Israel launched an air campaign to Iran and said it was aimed to remove what it called the “existential threats” of the nuclear and ballistic rocket programs of the country.

The Ministry of Health of Iran says that Israeli strikes have so far killed around 500 people, although one human rights group has set the death toll at 950.

According to the Israeli authorities, Iranian rocket attacks on Israeli cities have killed 24 people.

Evin Prison houses thousands of men and women, including prominent political dissidents, human rights defenders, journalists and double and foreigners.

Residents of the densely populated environment told BBC Persian that there was a powerful explosion on Monday that crashed the windows of nearby houses.

One verified video showed damaged vehicles and rubble spread over a street, while another significant damage showed the Shahid Moghaddas office, a special security filter in the prison complex.

It is not clear how many victims there were and whether citizens were among them.

However, the office of the public prosecutor is usually filled during working hours with family members, lawyers, as well as officers of Justice and Judges.

It was said that images that were assessed by BBC Persian show wounded people who had visited relatives at the time of the strike.

Prisoners in Evin’s women’s part reportedly said their families that the ceiling was damaged and that panic broke out among prisoners, although they do not report any injuries.

In section 4, however, it was said that the shock golf of the explosion caused injuries to various men who were in the prison library.

Amnesty International said it was “extremely worried” by Evin’s reports.

“Intentionally attacking civil objects is prohibited according to international humanitarian law and would amount to a war crime,” the human rights group warned.

Jean-not Barrot, the French Foreign Minister, also condemned the strike as “unacceptable” and said that it had threatened two French subjects “hostage” in prison for espionage.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian woman who was trapped with Evin for years, told the BBC that she felt “sick” with concern after the strike.

“When you are in prison, it will be your home. When I heard this morning that Evin was bombed -I felt a sharp pain in my heart. When I was released, I left a piece of my heart behind it.”

She said she had made “the most incredible friendships” with fellow prisoners.

She added: “For me, thinking that those people who are stuck in prison are scared, traumatized, worry about themselves, but also for the people who are outside – who probably don’t know what they are going through – makes me sick.”

The Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz said that the Israeli army “regime objectives and repressive authorities in the heart of Tehran with unprecedented force” on Monday “attacked.

The director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday that craters were visible at Fordo, which indicated the use of ground penetrating ammunition.

“Given the explosive charge used, and the extreme vibration -sensitive nature of centrifuges, it is expected that very considerable damage has occurred,” Rafael Grossi told a meeting of the worldwide watchdog in Vienna.

He said that the IAEA had noticed that extra buildings on the Isfahan nuclear site were hit on Sunday by American cruise missiles, including some related to the uranium conversion process, as well as inputs used for the storage of enriched material.

The US also told the IAEA that the raw bombs had used in a strike on the underground uranium enrichment factory in Natanz, he added.

Grossi called on his desk to gain access to Iranian nuclear sites to “explain” the stocks of the land of enriched uranium. At the end of May it said that Iran had enough 60% enriched material to possibly make nine nuclear weapons.

When Iran started beating, the Israeli army said that it had intelligence that showed that Iran had recently made “concrete progress” in the direction of producing components for a nuclear bomb.

Iran denied the claim and insisted that her nuclear program was completely peaceful.

Israel is generally supposed to have nuclear weapons, although it does not confirm or deny this.
