India Cleated missiles in the Pakistani controlled area in different locations at the beginning of Wednesday, killing a child and the injury of two other people, the Pakistani authorities said. India said that the striking infrastructure was used by militants.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the air strikes on Wednesday and said that the “deceptive enemy has cowardly attacked at five locations in Pakistan” and that his country would take revenge.
“Pakistan has the right to give a robust response to this war law imposed by India, and a strong response is indeed given,” Sharif said.
He said that his country and his armed forces “know very well how to deal with the enemy.”
The missiles hit locations in Pakistan-assessed Kashmir and in the eastern province of Punjab in the country. One hit a mosque in the city of Bahawalpur in Punjab, where a child was killed and a woman and husband were injured.
Pakistan television run by the state, noted about security officers, said that the country’s air force shot two Indian jets as retribution, but offered no extra detail.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Indian troops had launched the strikes while staying in the Indian airspace. Other locations were near Muridke in Punjab and Kotli in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
It said that the attack reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and was an important threat to commercial air traffic.
“This reckless escalation has brought the two nuclear arming states closer to a great conflict,” said the statement.
The Ministry of Defense of India said that at least nine locations were the target of “where terrorist attacks are planned against India.”
“Our actions are targeted, measured and non-escalating in nature. There are no Pakistani military facilities,” said the explanation, adding that “India has shown a significant limitation in the selection of goals and implementation method.”
“We meet the dedication that those responsible for this attack will be held responsible,” said the statement.
Sharif convened a meeting of the National Security Committee on Wednesday morning.
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the United Nations, said in a statement at the end of Tuesday that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “was very concerned about the Indian military operations on the entire line of control and international border” and proclaimed maximum military disabilities from both countries.
