I prefer to play solo in 99 Nights in the Forest, but thanks to Taming Flute I can finally take my animal companions with me Roblox survival marathons. The only drawback is that the starting pets aren’t very strong, but upgrading the flute turns the instrument into a real game changer.
Some classes start with a taming advantage (and the Beastmaster even ranks quite high in mine 99 Nights in the Forest Class Tier List), but the flute is available to everyone, regardless of role. Each upgrade also unlocks new animals to befriend, so instead of squishy bunnies, you can hop into the Cultist Fortress with a mammoth.
How to get the taming flute in 99 nights in the forest

You can get the Flute of Taming for free at the animal shelter – it can be picked up in the open – or by giving the Skin Trader a wolf pelt.
Unless you’re playing the Zookeeper or Beastmaster class, you won’t even start with the Taming Flute to upgrade it, so you’ll have to find it. Since the game is getting more and more difficult every day, I recommend that other classes rush to get the Old Taming Flute from the animal shelter as soon as possible. Updating takes time, so you’ll want to cut down on this process over time.
Now if you play as Zookeeper or Beastmasteryou’ve already saved some time. The Zookeeper starts with the basic Old Taming Flute, while the Beastmaster starts with the upgraded version, the Good Taming Flute.
How to upgrade the taming flute in 99 nights in the forest

You can Upgrade the Taming Flute in 99 Nights in the Forest by visiting the Skill Building and interacting with the benchbut a short visit here is not everything. First, you need to tame the animals and completely fill the Taming Flute’s XP bar, so once you get the instrument, the whole process is as follows:
Feed and play with the animals until they are ready for friendship

The animals enjoy listening to you play the song, but after using the flute you will have to throw them a snack to fully gain their trust. Watch the emoji above their head, which should change from an angry red face to a gray, straight face once the tune is played, and then give them some food to make them happy.
Every class except the Beastmaster starts with the Old Taming Flute, which means you can only tame bunnies for a certain amount of time. So grab a carrot, play them a song and say hello to your new little friend.
Grind to earn more Flute Taming XP
In 99 Nights in the Forest you can have up to two pets at a time, but the process of playing the flute and taming animals isn’t the only way to earn XP – you don’t have to constantly catch and release creatures.
Instead, you can wait until the animal is injured and feed it its favorite treat. A few meals should fill Old Taming Flute’s XP bar. It’s time to upgrade to something that allows you to make friends with fiercer allies.
When the Flute Taming bar is full, go to the Skill Building

The skill building can be unlocked at campfire level 3, but I always find it around campfire level 4. If you have difficulty locating it, heat the fire a little and continue hunting. There are three flutes available, and each one unlocks a new set of animals to collect.
- Old taming flute
- A good taming flute
- A powerful taming flute
Upgrades can take some time, so if you really enjoy taming animals, I suggest checking out Beastmaster. They can have up to five pets at a time, and the wolves summoned by the Beast Lord are faster when attacking. The only downside is that it’s a more expensive version of Zookeeper at 400 diamonds, so save up those gems and stay on top of purchasing new ones Codes 99 nights in the forest.
