Here are our PS Plus Extra and Premium games for October

Halloween season is here, and there’s plenty of horror to be found in Sony’s newly unveiled October additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog, including a stellar game from developer Bloober Silent Hill 2 remake and a slightly less stellar remake of Until Dawn.

These and more – incl Yakuza: Like a dragon – join PlayStation’s Premium and Extra tiers from Tuesday, October 21, with the full lineup as follows:

So go! The most important attractions of Halloween include, of course, the aforementioned remake of Silent Hill 2 – which received a five-star review from Eurogamer last year – along with a rather more divisive version of Supermassive’s brilliant 2015 interactive horror game Until Dawn. By the way, the original turned ten years old this year, and we delved into the fascinating story of its development back in August if you want to find out how this happened.

Also on the scary front Poppy fun: Chapter 1, along with the extremely enjoyable vampire survival game V: Rising. However, if ghosts and ghouls aren’t your thing, you’ll find acclaimed interactive drama in As Dusk Falls, enjoyable RPG action in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and twin-stick shooter mayhem in Galvanic Games’ Wizard with a Gun. And for Premium subscribers, there’s some classic fighting action, courtesy of you Tekken 3.
