Gloucester-Hartpury boss Sean Lynn’s Legacy after winning the third PWR title

While the last whistle on Sunday the rugby final of the Premiership Women’s rugby, the third title of Gloucester-Hartpury in a row brought a stunning chapter in the recent history of the club.

“We had to give Lynny a good broadcast and sometimes you can’t count on dreams that just come out because you want that, so we had to dig deep and luckily we got our fairytale -like end,” Center Tatyana told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

Lynn has been part of the Hartpury College and Gloucester Rugby setup and Co-captain Zoe Aldcroft for two decades said that the Welshman would always use the motto “License to inspired”.

“That is just about how you can be yourself and how can you express yourself on the field,” Aldcroft added.

As a teenager, Lynn played for the Academy of Gloucester. He then coached their BUCs (British universities and colleges of sports) men’s side – leading to three super rugby titles – before he became head of Women’s rugby in 2019. He and his family even live at university period.

While the success on the Gloucester – Hartpury field has had ahead of itself in the past three seasons – only six losses in 55 league games – the family culture always comes up of players as what the club makes special.

“Lynny has simply been phenomenal for us at Gloucester-Hartpury, how he brings us together and how he connects us as a team, whether it stands at pitch or out of the pitch, is so handsome,” added Aldcroft, who was first coached by Lynn when she was 16.
