Former hospital bosses request the suspension of Thirlwall request

Lawyers of former bosses of the hospital, in which the killer nurse Lucy Letby Babies murdered, have asked the public investigation of events related to their crimes to be suspended.

The chairwoman of Inquiry, Lady Justice Thirlwall, said she received the request from the lawyer for the management team for weeks after a group of international medical experts accused the deaths for poor medical care and natural causes.

She said she had previously had similar inquiries from Letby’s legal team and a conservative member of David Davis, who asked for a repetition.

In the Liverpool Rathaus, a submission area on this topic and the final statements were heard.

Letby, 35, originally from Hereford, served 15 orders of the whole life to murder seven infants and murder seven others.

Lady Justice Thirlwall said that lawyers from the former hospital manager – Chief Executive Tony Chambers, the medical director Ian Harvey, director of nursing Alison Kelly, and HR director Sue Hodkinson – also wrote to the State Secretary to apply for health to apply for a suspension of the investigation.

The results of a body of 14 international experts in neonatology and pediatrics were unveiled by Letby’s Legal Team last month.

The chairman of the committee Dr. Shoo Lee said that the experts had exceeded experimental compiling and medical records and “found no murders”.

These findings were adopted to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), which examined potential judicial officers.

Letby’s legal team hopes that the Commission will forward its case to the Court of Appeal.

In a letter from Letby’s lawyers to Lady Justice Thirlwall, which was seen by the Pa news agency, a report based on the findings of the investigation said “little value” if the beliefs were canceled.

It added: “It is likely that the CCRC will not take long to examine the application before going back to the Court of Appeal.

“It is now clear that there are overwhelming and convincing evidence that Lucy Letby’s beliefs are unsure.

“So that the examination is effective and the money of the taxpayers cannot be wasted, we demand that the request will be suspended and to wait for the result of the review.”

The CCRC previously stated that checking the application would take time due to the complexity of the case.

A lot of about 50 people gathered in front of the Liverpool town hall before the investigation to close the submissions was resumed, and described signs that Letby was innocent.

Andrew Kennedy KC in his final template on behalf of the NHS Foundation Trust of the Countess of the Chester Hospital refused.

He said, “Letby’s convictions. They were tested in two unsuccessful calls.

“A shift that would necessarily be indefinite is not justified and would serve to delay the implementation of recommendations that have not proven the evidence in this study.”

In his final speech, Neil Sheldon KC, who represents the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, said lessons from previous cases where health professions had not learned babies.

In 1991, a nurse, Beverly Alleitt, four children in a hospital in Lincolnshire and in 2015 another nurse, Victorino Chua, was arrested in Stockport because of murder of two patients in the stepping Hill Hospital.

Mr. Sheldon said: “There was a long -term failure to learn the teaching of past inquiries and studies and implement these lessons.

“Recommendations were made, but insufficient measures were taken.

“The tragic events in the Countess of the Chester hospital should not have happened primarily.”

Lady Justice Thirlwall will publish her final report in autumn.
