A federal court in California ruled on Monday that the government cannot maintain Trump Executive orders For which groups of programs must stop that promote diversity, fairness and inclusion or recognize the existence of transgender people to receive a subsidy.
Judge Jon Tigar wrote the American district in his order That a group of pro-LGBTQ has shown non-profit organizations “that they probably have to dispute various provisions in the executive orders of President Donald Trump, which, according to the groups, violates the Constitution.
“These three financing provisions reflect an attempt to censorally protected speech and services that promote dei and recognize the existence of transgender individuals,” the judge wrote in his order.
Tigar said that although the executive “requires a certain degree of freedom to implement its political agenda, it is still bound by the Constitution,” and “cannot arm the congress to grant the funds to issue protected communities for a non -reunional treatment or ideas that it doesn’t like or that is that it is.

Government lawyers say that the President is allowed To “coordinate strategies for government financing and enforcement” with his policy.
Plaintiffs say that the congress – and not the president – has the authority to condition how federal funds are used and that the executive orders limit Disagreement.

The claimants include health centers, LGBTQ+ Services Groups, the Gay Lesbian bisexual transgender Historical Society and the San Francisco Aids Foundation. The groups are all recipients of federal financing and say that following the executive orders will prevent them from completing their missions.

The judge’s order will remain in force while the legal case persists, although government lawyers are likely to appeal.
