Measles are an extremely contagious disease. It is also extremely avoidable. There is a vaccine. It is very effective.

It has been relatively rare in the United States for decades and has made deaths with measles even less frequently. But the United States has now more than seen than 700 measles cases this yearAnd 3 deaths so far with active outbreaks in six states.

The federal reaction is examined because Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Secretary for Health and Human Services, has given a career in the spread of false information about vaccines.
