House republicans must pass their expenditure account on Friday to prevent a government closure. They can probably afford to lose only one voice.
And that is the easy part.
Then they will have to work on their plan to extend 4.5 trillion dollars to tax cuts that have been assumed under the Trump administration – a plan that requires huge cuts on government spending.
Republicans are adamant that cuts on Medicaid are a non-starter. But last week the non-party Congressional Budget Office released a report that would probably require the budget of the Republicans on Medicaid or Medicare.
