Nemanja Matic hit back to the daring claim of Andre Onana about Lyon by calling him “one of the worst keepers” in the history of Manchester United.

Onana claimed that United was “much better” than Lyon before the Europa League Quarter-Final First-stage on Thursday in France.

Lyon midfielder Matic, who spent five years at Old Trafford, was asked about Onana’s words at his press conference for the game on Wednesday and his answer was cut.

“If you are one of the worst keepers in the history of Manchester United, you have to take care of what you are talking about,” Matic said.

“If David de Gea, Peter Schmeichel or Edwin van der Sar said I would ask myself, but if you are statistically one of the worst keepers in the modern history of Manchester United, he must show that before he says it.”
