I admit: I am a loser of agricultural games. I try a new one every month, and the chances are that I will enjoy it. While most follow a similar formula, my latest discovery, Little GardenIt has an interesting mechanics that I loved.

IN Little GardenYou start with a small, magical toy with just a few plots and a few seeds. By using them, you will grow crops, exchange them with new seeds and repeat the process until you unlock everything that plays. Along the way, you will even have the opportunity to unlock stickers, furniture and other adjustment options to turn the toy into a miniature living space.

I love this progression system. It reminded me of such games Rusta’s retirement This requires investing time and resources in exploring the crops that you unlock instead of introducing everything into the type of “meta” to maximize profits. Instead, you must gradually do some everything if you want to achieve a 100 % completion.

There is more Little Garden However, than just planting crops. Each type of plant has a specific plate, which it prefers. Crows such as Velcro and carrots like dirt, and the lily pad requires water cultivation. It leaves you two options – treat it like a puzzle to unlock everything as quickly and efficiently as possible, or to run with the current and see what happens when planting seeds in random places. From time to time you will receive seeds through a small chest, so you don’t have to worry about closing with progress.

And then there is adjustment. I love sitting and designing a house, character or anything else, which allows me to experiment with ideas, while collecting thoughts and opinions from friends. When you discover new crops, unlock furniture, stickers and other design options that you can use to decorate the environment. What was once a simple toy can become a Dollhouse -like scene, which can be adapted to the content of your heart. Because it is a small space, you are a bit limited, where you can place items. For me, however, this increases the appeal.

There are no leaders’ tables, time restrictions or obstacles to prevent you from progressing or increasing difficulty. As long as you fancy your crops and watch where you plant them, you have complete freedom of planning in advance or taking things as far as they are.
