IRipping although it has to admit everything to the offensive Mel Gibson (whose 2006 movie apocalypto is very good), his new film has a bit of a bit of entertainment value. It is an action thriller that is placed almost entirely on board a rickety small plug-plane, which flies in a desperate dangerous situation through the wilderness of Alaska. First position screenwriter Jared Rosenberg had his script on the Black list of non -produced scenarios for four years Before Gibson picked it up.

Michelle Dockery plays Madelyn, a deputy American air marshal who arrests a spectacled mob -accountant called Winston, played by Topher Grace; This malfactor with white borders had hidden itself in a filthy, remote hotel room in Alaska. The newspaper Winston is convinced to turn the State’s evidence against his Capo Paymaster and so Madelyn has to transport him to the nearest city for the trial, completely chained as a risk risk. The only way to get him there through this snowy wasteland was driven in an alarmingly small plane by the cheerful Daryl Booth, a Texan good old boy played by Mark Wahlberg.

But their flight runs into the hair -raising danger and Winston is a man with a number of very important secrets. Weapons are fired in this enclosed space, hunting knives are poured into the arms and Gutsy, Feisty Madelyn has to take over control of the plane when the pilot loses consciousness – although fans of Jerry Zucker’s plane! Will expect something more dramatic if she presses the autopilot button. Nevertheless, flying with a plane is one step further for Dockery, whose fans will remember that they are playing a modest stewardess in the aircraft thriller non-stop.

The film is of course very stupid, but distracting and ingenious, and contains game performances by Wahlberg, Dockery and Grace. Wahlberg is Goofy and puppy -like in his flirting with the tough law enforcement officer, but he still arises an unexpected surprise; Grace is nerdy, nervy and delivers the wisecrackquotient of the film; Dockery manages to style the obvious absurdity of the situation. There is a bizarre turn with a wig and enjoying some white-knuckle.

Escape risk is now in Australia and will be released in the US and the UK on January 24.
