The main trailer for the Dual Rulers anime shows its April debut

The Guilty Gear Strive: Double Rulers anime received a main trailer previewing almost two minutes of footage and the opening song “AXCLUSION” ulma sound transitionand to publicize the April 5 JST Japanese broadcast premiere and the April premiere on Crunchyroll.

The main visual was also released.

The decline of the once powerful fields of science and technology has given rise to a new source of energy for the modern age: magic. Humanity creates the Gears, a banned biological weapon. The same Gears eventually turn against humanity in the Rebellion. Although they managed to overcome the war for survival known as the Crusades, the loss of humanity was so great that even decades later their emotional wounds remain sharp. Kiske’s son, the child of a human and a Gyre, goes to the wedding ceremony of his father Kai and mother Dizzy. Their wedding breaks the taboo of human-Ghir union. Even when the world was at peace, many years passed before such a ceremony could take place. Despite the complex array of emotions surrounding it, the wedding is met with blessings. Suddenly a mysterious girl appears… A fated child who inherited the blood of Girs. A mysterious girl who despises Gears. Their meeting will shake the world.

The video game series started in 1998 and now features a hybrid 2D/3D visual style with shaded cells. Guilty Gear Strive was first released in 2021 on select platforms and is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Its plot component is described as follows:

Embark on a final showdown with The Man, the man responsible for all the destruction and harm done to the world and its inhabitants. Join Saul Bedgay, his rival Kai Kiske, and an overall starting roster of 15 unique characters as they face the surprising conclusion to a story 20 years in the making!
