Billie Eilish calls out ‘pathetic’ Elon Musk for not donating a huge fortune – National

Billie Eilish had some nice words for tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Earlier this month, Musk, 54, said won a shareholder vote that would be the Tesla CEO shares worth $1 trillion if he meets certain performance targets over the next ten years. More than 75 percent of voters approved the plan when shareholders met for the annual meeting.

Following the messages, 23-year-old Eilish took to her Instagram stories on November 13 and called Musk, who is already the richest person in the world, a “fucking pathetic pb coward.”

The Ocean eyes singer shared infographics originally posted by My vote, my choice suggesting what Musk could do to help global crises with his vast fortune.

“Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire, this is what he could do with it,” the first photo read.

The following slides suggested ways Musk could help the world, including “ending world hunger” and “choosing to spend $40 billion every year to end world hunger by 2030 or provide the planet with $140 billion of universally safe clean water over the next seven years.”

The next slide stated that Musk could “save all 10,443 critically endangered species” by “paying $1 billion to $2 billion annually to reduce them all to endangered species.”

The final slide suggested that Musk could pay $53.2 billion to “rebuild Gaza and the occupied West Bank according to the EU.”

“Although the UN predicts this could amount to more than $70 billion for Gaza alone, if he wanted to spread the wealth and help further, he could also rebuild Ukraine and Syria to the tune of $793.2 billion,” the message said.

In her latest post, Eilish wrote: “etc… f–ing pathetic p– b– coward.”

Musk has not publicly responded to Eilish’s comments at the time of writing.

Eilish’s criticism of Musk comes weeks after she suggested billionaires should donate more when she accepted the music award at this year’s WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards in October.

“We’re in a time now where the world is really, really bad and really dark and people need empathy and help more than ever, especially in our country,” Eilish told an audience that included Meta’s CEO. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, as well Star Wars creator George Lucas.

“I would say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, and maybe give it to people who need it,” she added.

Late night host Stephen Colbert introduced Eilish onstage at the Museum of Modern Art in New York by announcing that she would donate $11.5 million of the proceeds from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour to charities focused on food equality, climate justice and reducing carbon pollution.

In accepting the award, the Bad guy The singer added a polite but direct appeal to the others in the room, saying that many people, especially in the US, could use some help right now.

“I love you all, but there are some people here who have a lot more money than me,” she said, as the room erupted in applause. “And if you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? And no hate, just give your money away, little ones.”
