Ice Spice Talks a Big Game on New Single ‘Pretty Privilege’

Ice herb has released a new single, ‘Pretty Privilege’. The rapper shared the song along with a video clip, in which she walks and dances through a mansion.

In the song, Ice Spice focuses on her fellow artists. “Poser, she hears my song and copies everything I say,” she spits. “Like, what the fuck? These bitches dirty/ Just be yourself, this shit might work/ Nice privilege, that’s a perk/ I can’t help it, I’m a flirt/ Fine shit, that’s a fact.” She adds, “Cancel me, they really tried / I’m so stubborn, I can’t hide it.”

“Pretty Privilege” follows Ice Spice’s comeback single, “Badie Baddie,” which arrived in September. The song marked Ice Spice’s first solo release since she dropped Y2K!: I’m Just a Girl (Deluxe) last December. It was produced by the rapper’s longtime collaborator RiotUSA and samples MIA’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.” She later dropped an Evil Twins-directed film music video for the track.

Since its release Y2K!: I’m Just a Girl (Deluxe)Ice Spice collaborated with various artists. Earlier this year she collaborated with Latto on “Gyatt,” which marked the first collaboration between the two rappers and effectively quashed rumors of the pair’s feud. She made her too debut film in Spike Lee’s most recent film, Highest 2 Loweststarring Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky.

Ice Spice recently told Rolling stone her creative process has remained the same throughout her career. “Everything changes a little bit slowly over the years, but it’s pretty consistent,” she said. “Or I have things that I do that I feel comfortable with. I take a lot of breaks between recording songs. So I don’t just sit down and go through it. I get up, do things, eat or whatever, and come back to it the next day.”
