Popsockets launches a new version of its Magsafe grip that can be used to support a phone vertically for scrolling Tiktok or Video calls. The popsockets kick-out grip and stand are less than a millimeter thicker than the current line-up of the company of Magsafe pop gripsAccording to the founder of the company, David Barnett, but introduces a hinge so that the pop-up grip can now unfold and double as a support standard.
The kick-out grip and stand is available from today via the PopSockets Online Store for $ 39.99 in colors with black, twilight, putty and latte. It is also available via the website of Best Buy and Retaillocations that offer two exclusive color options: French navy and silver, both with a shiny metal finish. If those colors do not work for you, such as earlier iterations of the popsockets, the foldable grip on the new kick-out can be removed with a twist and replaced by alternatives in different colors or designs.
It is compatible with iPhones and cases that support the Magsafe function of Apple, as well as Android devices and accessories that support the magnetic power profile of the QI2 standards. For older devices that miss wireless charging, or use protective cases that are too thick for Magsafe to work effectively, a recorded glue adapter makes the kick-out grip and is compatible with almost every smartphone.
The new grip of Popsocket is thicker than products from the competitor such as the Ohsnap Snap 4 And it must be completely removed if you want to use a wireless charger. But the kick-out is more comfortable to hold than the Snap 4, can be personalized and offers more functionality.
Although the kick-out grip and stand is the first modern version of the popsockets that can be used to support a phone vertically, it is not technically terribly First. After he had placed a few buttons on the back of his phone, so that he could pack and save his wired earplugs, Barnett continued with the design and Crownfond crowdfund an iPhone 4 -case With two of the accordion style pop-up handles that are still popsockets. It can be used to save headphones, but also to abandon an iPhone horizontally or vertically.
Wireless earbuds such as Apple’s Airpods eventually made the original double grip design of the popsockets outdated, but that was not the end of the product. “A friend of mine calls me the happiest man on earth because phones grew in my invention,” says Barnett. “I invented popsockets to solve the problem of headset Wirwar and it appears that they served as a great grip.”
Popsockets ultimately simplified the design of its products, because consumers embraced them as a safer way to hold their phones that are getting bigger and heavier, with one hand. To date, the company has sold more than 285 million of the handles, and although their success may seem like a happy accident, the latest version offers a useful improvement that POPSockets has been working on perfecting for several years. “Our products are all designed to bring joy to daily telephone life by eliminating pain points. I think it will achieve the goal,” says Barnett.
