David Attenborough was a ‘inspiration’ for a new show

The Wales Prince described Sir David Attenborough as a “great inspiration” to grow up, and the motivation behind his new documentary film for wild animals, highlighting the work of the Rangers.

In an unexpected appearance at the projection earlier this week, Prince William attributed to the leaders of nature veterans with “the possibility of presenting wonderful parts of the world to many of us, most of us will never get the opportunity to visit.”

He said he hoped that his new six -sided series, named Guardians, “does the same thing.”

Prince and Sir David share the passion for preserving the natural world and supported the projects on the ground.

The heir to the throne privately attended the screenings of the Emitter’s documentaries, while Sir David was the champion of the Prince William Award focused on Earthshot since his inception.

Now taking over the leadership of the 99-year-old host of the ocean and planet Earth, Prince said that his new series “reminds people that there are still wonderful parts of the world and that he is still hoping, and there is still an incredible job.”

He surprised those who attended the projection of the series when he entered a hotel in Central London and sat down with journalists to look at the first three episodes.

Guardians will focus on the way the Rangers work – which protect the endangered animals whose role has become much more risky. In the past decade, about 1,400 Randaries have died.

“This is now one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet,” Prince told reporters.

“It should not be. The protection of the natural world should not be so dangerous.

“Since he is a soldier, a police officer, an emergency – these jobs are dangerous, people put their lives in order.

“I don’t think people understand that this is the same for these guys and girls around the world.”

He attributed an increased threat to “the conflicts of the community or civil wars, or illegal fishing or cavity – whatever it may be, only spread around the world.”

Prince spokesman said he appeared to emphasize the importance of the series for him on a personal level.

“The project started it,” said BBC spokesman. “He wanted to show incredible work rasnians for people around the world.”

Each episode will be presented on the Prince William screen, which also appears in the project trailer.

The prince also spoke about the challenge of employment of the next generation of X -ray.

He said, “They ask, why would I do that? Why would I go to risk my life to do it? It seems no one notices it and it seems that no one cares. I am not necessarily paid, society has not appreciated me enough.”

Prince William emphasized that the Rangers “make much more than the protection of wild animals.”

“These are the initiatives of the community they do, it is education, it is learning, scientific research,” he said.

“And if we want to achieve our goals, and we mostly care about the natural environment, then we need more of these guys and girls.”

Renjers have the task of overseeing natural areas and wild animals in them, but more and more thieves have to be rejected, who want to traffic or kill animals – such as elephants, tigers and rhinos – which some have body parts.

Preachers can be armed and encounters with randies can prove fatal. In the year to May 2024, 38 of 140 deaths were murder, according to the International Federation of Ranger (IRF).

In November Prince announced a new life insurance scheme Cover 10,000 X -ray protects wildlife in Africa.

The screening was also attended by Rohit Singh, the IRF Vice President, who described Rangers as “basic planetary health workers” and repeated Prince’s concerns.

He said, “One statistics that always occur to me is that 82% of the Renzers say that they do not want their children to become a X -ray – so if we do not change that, how will we get more of the X -ray?

“There are more hairdressers in the UK than there are richens in protected areas in the world.”

The first episode of the series launched by the United Royal Foundation for Wild Animals and co -produced Zandland, is available from Friday at BBC Earth’s YouTube and social channels, with a new episode posted every Friday.
