The Corsie, born in Aberdeen, started in 2008 with Glasgow City and won 13 major awards with the then strength of Scotland before he came to Notts County in 2014.
A six -year -old stint in the NWSL in the United States – with Seattle Reign, Utah Royals and the Stroom from Kansas City – although she enjoyed loan movements to Canberra United and Birmingham City after also back to the city in 2015 where she had picked up a SWPL and Scottish Cup Double.
The Center -Back joined Villa in 2022 and closed its 18 -year club career at the WSL side by returning from a sixth operation -and fifth on her left knee -for their last two league games.
“Back to play at the end of the season was a really difficult ambition and objective, but we got there,” said Corsie.
“I was told by the surgeon before I had the operation that there was the option to have it, but the condition of my knee was fairly worrying and that although an operation might give some relief, there was a pretty serious probability that the damage caused in the course of my career would be influenced on the rest of my life.
“I wanted to do the operation because I knew that I could no longer start playing, so it left as it was.
“You have this self -confidence that” I did it before, I could do it again. ”
“I was actually just in chronic pain all the time. Walking up and down on the stairs in the house, sitting in the car for periods of time, going in and out of the shower and having to climb over the bath.
“All these little things, the daily things that are not normal for me now.
“It has been a tough journey, but I made it and it has been worth it – I think – all those days of pain.”
