More than 980 high school students, high school and college from all over the country were launched by more than 40 amateur rocket rockets, north of the NASA Center for the Marshall Space Flights in Hentsville, Alabama. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the competition.
To compete, students follow NASA’s engineering life cycle, passing through a series of reviews for nine months that led to the day of starting. Each year, university teams are issued a challenge with a useful load, and this year’s task is focused on communication. The teams had to have “reports” from Stemuts, inanimate objects within their rocket, which had to convey the information in real time in the control of the student team mission. This Artemis is a challenge for the Mission Artemis agency’s inspiration, where NASA will send astronauts to explore the moon for scientific discovery, economic benefit and to build the foundation for the first crew of the mission on Mars.
