By choosing the Oblivion Remastered soundtrack, Bethesda made allegations against composer Jeremy Soule

Oblivion Remastered

At least 15 years have passed since I recently touched oblivion, but a few seconds of the triumphal motif of the septim rule brings me back to the menu screen, which I saw many times on my Xbox 360. The gentle, almost painful dawn from the harvest evokes quieter moments that I spent on wandering around imperial cities. These are good memories, but today I have a different association with Oblivion music: the 2019 Allegations of rape and improper sexual behavior Against composer Jeremy Soule, who wrote music for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, among others.

Before Bethesda announced Oblivion Remastered, speculation appeared about whether the developer is removing and even fully replaced Soule music as a result of allegations against him (or because of the conflict with Bethesda about Soule Skyrim has performed in 2016). But now we know that it did not happen: the soundtrack is not unchanged, as we remember.
