I have been trusting this electric screwdriver for years and it has just received a major upgrade (plus it is for sale)

Two years ago I received a Bosch Go -Electric screwdriver. The thing was great; Since then it has been on my best electric screwdriver list and it works incredibly hard on countless projects, indoors and outside, and it is still going strong.

Well, the old Bosch Go went to a new house because I picked up a replacement – the new one Bosch Go. So, what is new that I led me to buy a new one?

Firstly, the Micro-USB has been replaced by USB-C. I don’t know how you are, but Micro USB is no longer my life and it was difficult to keep a cable for one thing that still held.

There is also a larger battery, a maximum of 2.0AH of 1.5AH, which is a whole bump and something that I appreciate if I have a long job, or forgot to give it to the lead after the last job.

There is also a ring light at the front of the screwdriver to see what you are doing. In the past I had to play with the flashlight on my phone or a headlight. Now the light is exactly where I need it.

The new Bosch Go also has more torque settings, which offer a finer check about working with fasteners and less chance of breaking something or completing the head of a screw.

The no-load speed of 360 rpm and max torque of 5 Nm remains the same, which is great for such a tool. You don’t want too much speed or power in an electric screwdriver – if you do, you have a Impact driver.

The ergonomics have also been improved, whereby the activation switch is made larger and easier to use in different handle positions.

The new screwdriver retains the same press-on-faster-to-activate function and the smart stopping function that detects excessive vibrations or when the screwdriver has jumped out of the attachment and is cut, the power is refined and improved. This function goes a long way in preventing damage to the workpiece.

The carrying bag is also better, small enough to wear, but fits the tools perfectly and offers space for a charging cable and a selection of bits.

The housing also has printed instructions, which is a great touch and something I wish would do more tools and gadget manufacturers.
