American Vice President JD Vance said Friday that he was hopeful to keep Tap Working in the US will be packed against the deadline of the beginning of April.
“There will almost certainly be a high-level agreement that I think it meets our national security problems, states that there is a separate American tap company,” Vance said in an interview with NBC News Abroad Air Force Two.
Questions about the future of the popular app for sharing videos have lingered, because a law that requires the parent company established in China to be dismissed or face on January 19. After his appointment, President Donald Trump gave Tiktok Tiktok to sign an executive order that the enforcement of the status was delayed until 5 April.
Vance, together with national security adviser Michael Waltz, was tapped by Trump to find an approved buyer. On Sunday Trump told reporters Air Force One. The administration was in conversation with “four different groups” about Tiktok and that there could be a deal soon.
Tiktok and her parent company, Bytedance, have not publicly commented on the conversations. It is also unclear whether bytedance has changed its position in the sale of TIKTOK, which it said that it was not going at the beginning of last year.

After it made those comments, bytedance and Tiktok launched a legal challenge against federal law, which was adopted with dual support in the congress and signed by the then President Joe Biden. In January the two companies lost their business at the American Supreme Court.

NBC News reported that VANCE did not offer details about who the potential buyers could be, but noted that some problems could be a definitive agreement after the Deadline of 5 April.

How do you do the contracts for all investors, customers, the service providers? … The deal itself will be very clear, but actually creating those thousands and thousands of pages with legal documents, that is the only thing I could take care of. “
Trump has said earlier that the deadline on a Tiktok deal could be further expanded if necessary. He also proposed conditions in which the US would have a 50% interest in a joint venture. The administration has not provided any details about what that kind of deal would entail.
